An unidentified group in Delta State today blew up pipelines belonging to the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC)

Our viewers should recall that the new Federal Government cancelled the surviellance services contract given to various militant groups under the GEJ Administration. The new President ordered (NIMASA) to stop paying platforms for security of the nation's waterways. This contract was worth $103Billion.

In response, infamous militant leader, Tompolo called a meeting of MEND heads but this was ignored. Various factions have denounced the meeting as an assembly of dubious contractors and disgruntled elements, reacting on behalf of oil thieves.
