ABOUT US

The Youth are a significant group in the world, 40% of the world’s population are young people. They are future leaders and consequently a vital part of the political process. Youth in general, have always been involved in the political process of different nations; the 'civil rights' movement around the United States were possible because of the immensely colossal number of university students who took part in the rallies.

YAC is a group engendered by YOUTH, we fixate on anti-corruption and policy development in governance. We are of the opinion that young people are generally more intrigued with politics and public affairs when their respective governments are more inclusive.

Civil Society Organisations and Non Profit Organisations play a vital role in promoting vigilance to young people. Most young people in Nigeria are shut out of the political process. Nigeria is a country built on the mind-set that age is the only qualification needed to be taken solemn in politics. We will challenge this postulation. It is often verbalized that adolescent people are apathetic towards politics. This claim will be challenged in the context of Nigeria.
