Saraki: "Zero Tolerance for Corruption under my watch"

July 7, 2015

The Senate President declared during a meeting with anti-corruption agencies that he is committed to a zero tolerance policy on corruption in the National Assembly. He has blamed the inability of some state governors to meet the duties of their workers and the entire citizens to the issue of Corruption.

He stated, “The cost of corruption on our national life is beyond financial cost. You see in some states now that they are not paying salaries, it had led to poor funding of the education and health sectors and it’s affecting the cost of governance… the message we want you to take away today is that the 8th Senate wants to work very closely with Mr.President on this very issue and I am sure with the political will, both on the part of the executive and the legislative and the agencies… [will] bring corruption to a level that as a country we can be proud of”

We hope to see an #openNass under Senate President Bukola Saraki.
